What happens on a Sabbath

In order, so nothing takes you by surprise.

The questions you may be shy to ask

Not what we believe. What happens to you in the room.

01

What do people wear?

Whatever you were already wearing. Some people come in a suit because that is who they are. Most do not. Nobody is checking, and nobody will comment.

02

Will I be put on the spot?

No. You will not be asked to stand, introduce yourself, read anything aloud, or say what brought you. If you want to stay invisible for six months, you can. Questions are part of our Saturday — but you ask them, we do not ask you.

03

Can I come alone?

Most people do the first time. Sit at the back, near the door, and talk to nobody if that is what you need. That is not rude here; it is normal.

04

Can I leave early?

Yes, and you owe nobody a reason. Sit where it is easy to walk out. Nobody will follow you or ask why.

05

Do I have to give money?

No. Nothing is passed around and no amount is announced. If you would like to give, there is a quiet way to on the Give page — entirely your own choice.

06

What if people know me?

Some of them might. What they will not do is ask what happened, or bring it up, or tell anyone else. This is a church for people who were shown the door somewhere else. Your history is not a subject here — that is not a policy written for a website, it is the reason this church exists.

07

Can I bring my children?

Yes, children are welcome. We do not have a separate children's programme yet, so they stay with you in the room. We do not mind the noise or the movement — you are not a distraction here. If they need a break, you can step out whenever you need to.

08

What if I arrive late?

Come in whenever you arrive. There is no "late" here. Nobody will look up, and nobody will make you feel awkward. If you prefer to settle in quietly, sit near the back. The door is always open.

09

Do I have to believe anything?

No. Nobody will ask what you believe, and nothing here requires you to sign, agree or pretend. Plenty of people in the room are not sure what they believe. You are not a project, and nobody is counting.
